Vaccinations for Strays

Walk-in for free arv vaccines for dogs/cats

Welcome to Blue Cross Society of Pune’s Vaccination Clinic

At Blue Cross Society of Pune, our commitment is to combat rabies and promote the health of both strays and pet dogs/cats. At our facility, we offer FREE anti-rabies vaccines (ARV) for all stray dogs/cats and Indian mixed breed dogs/cats. If you were searching online for pet shots near me, you have found the right destination!

Rabies, a 100% vaccine-preventable disease, poses a serious threat to both animal and human health. By vaccinating both stray and pet animals, we aim to build herd immunity and significantly reduce the risk of rabies transmission.

In the unfortunate event of a bite from a dog or cat, immediate action is crucial. Washing the wound under running water and promptly receiving the first anti-rabies shot, followed by completing the full course of vaccination, can effectively prevent rabies. Rabies prevention is simple: timely administration of anti-rabies injections after a bite or better still to get a 3 dose pre-exposure shot to get protection against this disease.

Additionally, we conduct periodic anti-rabies drives, targeting sterilised and friendly stray dogs across Pune city, further contributing to rabies prevention efforts.

In conjunction with rabies vaccinations, we also provide Tricat vaccine for cats and 9-in-1 vaccine for dogs undergoing sterilisation at our facility.

Thanks to generous donors, we occasionally offer free Tricat vaccines to stray cats and Indian mixed breed pet cats through our outpatient department (OPD) for limited periods.

Vaccination plays a crucial role in maintaining the health and well-being of pets, especially strays. By availing of our free vaccination services for stray dogs and cats, as well as Indian mixed breed pet dogs and cats, you’re not only safeguarding their health but also contributing to the broader community’s safety.

Join us in our mission to create a safer and healthier environment for animals and humans alike.

Importance of vaccinations for pets’ and stray dogs and cats’ health and well-being.

Vaccinations are crucial for the health and well-being of pets, stray dogs, and cats. For pets, vaccinations prevent serious diseases such as rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and feline leukemia, enhancing their lifespan and quality of life. Vaccinated pets are less likely to contract and spread infectious diseases, protecting other animals and humans.

In stray dogs and cats, vaccinations are extremely critical to preventing disease outbreaks, which have a high possibility of spreading in a community that does not have efficient veterinary care. Vaccinations provide safety for the public’s health by lowering the possibility of zoonotic illnesses, which can spread from animals to people.

Hello, would like to give my feedback on Blue Cross. The first time I went to Blue Cross was when I admitted an injured cat. As soon as I entered I noticed that it was very clean and everything was very organized. Recently I have got quite a few cats sterilized, which has been done in a very efficient and systematic manner. All the staff are polite. The cats and dogs are given lots of love and care.

BCS Pune has a Sympathetic and caring staff. It is an Economical Hospital to take stray dogs and cats for treatment. The cat sterilization process is well-managed, and economical, and the cats are well taken care of. The highlight of the cat sterilization is, it’s at a nominal cost with 7 days post-operative care and they provide free anti-rabies and tri-cat vaccinations for all cats that are sterilized at BCS.
