Every Cat Needs a Tri-cat Vaccine!

Every Cat Needs A Tri-cat Vaccine

Vaccinations play a vital role in keeping both stray and pet cats healthy and protected. One of the most important vaccines for cats is the Tri-cat vaccination. It is called “Tri” because it protects cats against three major feline diseases: Feline Herpesvirus (rhinotracheitis), Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Panleukopenia (feline parvo).

These diseases are highly contagious and spread quickly. Feline Herpesvirus and Feline Calicivirus affect’s the cat’s eyes, nose, and throat, leading to sneezing, coughing, fever, eye ulcers, and difficulty in breathing or eating. These diseases cause severe illness or death in cats. Feline Panleukopenia causes severe vomiting, diarrhoea, dehydration, and often death in young kittens.

Once infected, not only does the illness become more complicated, but the treatment also becomes very expensive and difficult. The best way to prevent these diseases is by vaccinating cats on time. Vaccination builds immunity so that if your cat is exposed, the body will be able to fight off these viruses.

At BCS Pune OPD, the Tri-cat vaccine for stray cats and Indian mixed breed pet cats is provided FREE as of now.
